MSF: Learning & Development Internships (HR & Industrial Psychology Graduates)

 

The main purpose of this role is to perform and provide administrative support to the L&D team and the MSFSnA Section.  The L&D Intern's responsibilities will include providing a supporting role in the collection of documentation, filing and compilation of monthly reports, and records of training courses and learning programs. The incumbent will also support all L&D activities connected to the employee development cycle as outlined in the key responsibilities. This role should allow the intern to kick-start their career in L&D and get a closer look at how L&D function in an organization.

 

Key Tasks and Responsibilities:

  • Assist in organising Tembo briefings and the Mandatory MSF Onboarding for all new staff every quarter.
  • Assist in organising L&D Committee Meetings and compilation of documentation and reports every quarter.
  • Follow up on the Scholarship funding documentation with scholarship recipients and be responsible for proper filing.
  • Compile 1st draft L&D report and promptly share it with the L&D Manager by the 4th of the following month.
  • Assist in obtaining relevant documentation for the compilation of the Skills Report.
  • Provide support with the organizing and coordination of logistics and administrative activities for Regional Trainings held in South Africa.
  • Support with the collection and drafting of relevant documentation required for detachments before and after detachment.
  • Assist Interns with Tembo registration and queries.
  • Support with the collection of the Section quantitative data and compile the first draft for regular and annual reports required for statutory Employment Equity (EE) and Workplace Skills Development (SD) Plans for Submission in collaboration with the L&D Manager.
  • Participate in team meetings, prepares minutes and help to coordinate follow-up activities.
  • Perform other duties to support the team, as needed.
  • Support in the organization of the coordination of logistics and administrative activities for all training and development activities for staff and provide the training necessary information to staff as per approved courses on the training plan.
  • Support internal or external Facilitators/Trainers in the smooth running of actual training courses in the Section.
  • Ensure accurate record-keeping of all training activities within the Section and follow-up that trainings are done by staff.
  • Assist with the continuous follow-up on a training plan for the Section.
  • Support in the collection of documentation, filing, and compilation of records of training courses, and learning programs and regularly sharing them with the hierarchy.

Requirements: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in:
  1. Industrial Psychology
  2. Human Resources
  • No work experience is required.
  • Word, Excel, PowerPoint and all other basic MS Office software.
