SC Johnson: Human Resource Internship Programme 2025
This is fantastic opportunity to work within a professional winning HR team. Within this role you will have exposure to a wide range of opportunities that will have you partnering with our South Africa business functions to the wider Africa HR team.
You will have the opportunity not just to understand the HR function and the role it plays, but you will also have exposure to a wide range of HR generalist activities, as well as some exciting projects. This is a 2-year Graduate Programme at SC Johnson.
Responsibilities:
- Providing HR advice and guidance to employees and line managers across the site your are based. You will improve your knowledge and understanding of HR policies and UK labour law and learn how to put this into practice.
- Managing the activation and deployment for the employee engagement events calendar, as well as support the delivery of our Culture & wellbeing agenda and internal communications. Within your role, you can to channel your creative thinking and develop your organisational skills. You will learn the importance of employee experience in an organisation and will play a key part in delivering the SCJ experience to UK employees.
- Supporting the HR team in the delivery of a best-in-class onboarding experience for new starters. You will partner with the HR team to deliver onboarding sessions and maximise the new starter experience.
- Providing assistance in employee relations matters. You will have exposure to disciplinary, grievance, and absence management by supporting the HR team with meetings, hearing materials, and note taking.
- Collaborating across the One HR team in Europe to drive successful and positive HR operations for employees. You will partner with our HR Delivery Centre team (based in Warsaw) to ensure all aspects of the employee lifecycle are delivered effectively for our employees.
- Supporting and Coordinating HR projects/tasks as required. You will have the opportunity to work with the HR team in rolling out global programs and initiatives as well as activating our DE&I calendar and agenda in Africa
Requirements:
- Undergraduate degree (Bcom HR or any relevant qualification)
- Good proficiency in MS Office
