Railway Safety Regulator (RSR): Bursaries 2025

 

The Railway Safety Regulator (RSR)  invites South African school leavers and students aged 15-35 years who are currently studying or wish to pursue undergraduate studies at recognised and accredited institutions of higher learning (such as TVET Colleges, University of Technology and Private and Public Universities) in the following fields:

 

Fields of study:

  • Electrical Engineering
  • Civil Engineering
  • Mechanical Engineering
  • Information Technology
  • Human Resources Management
  • Media and Communications
  • Law
  • Financial Management
  • Internal Audit
  • Supply Chain Management
  • Risk Management

Eligibility Requirements:

  • Must be a South African citizen between the ages of 15-35 years.
  • Must not be funded or receiving financial assistance through a sponsorship or bursary scheme from any other institution or organisation.
  • Must be available for an interview when requested and be willing to sign a Bursary Agreement.
  • Must submit proof of registration/ admission. Must be eligible to study for the specified qualification at the relevant institution of higher learning.
  • For first-year applicants, Grade 11 results/Grade 12 mid-term results reflecting a minimum average of 65% must be submitted. All other applicants must provide their current academic record, reflecting a minimum average of 65% in the current year’s studies.
