Vhembe District Municipality: Bursaries 2025

The Vhembe District Municipality is inviting students to apply for the Executive Mayor’s Bursary Fund, for the 2025 academic year.

Bursaries will be awarded to students who reside within the Vhembe District Municipal area (Limpopo), for Diploma and Bachelors degree studies within the following fields:

• Administration
• Agriculture
• Developmental Studies
• Economics and Business Management
• Engineering: Chemical Engineering / Civil Engineering / Electrical Engineering / Mechanical Engineering / Mining Engineering
• Environmental and Disaster Management
• Finance / Financial Accounting / B Com Accounting / Auditing
• Hydrology
• Information Technology
• Media Studies
• Regional and Town Planning
• Tourism
• Water Management / Waste Management
• Youth Developmental

Eligibility Requirements:

Applicants must satisfy the following minimum entry criteria before applying:

• You must be a South African citizen
• You must have completed Matric
• You must reside within the Vhembe District area, in Limpopo province
• You must be studying or intend on studying towards a qualification within one of the fields of study listed above
• You must be studying or intend on studying at a recognised and accredited tertiary institute within the district
• You must be from a disadvantaged background
