Western Cape Government: Internship Programme 2025 / 2026

The Western Cape Government invites unemployed South African graduates residing in the Western Cape to apply for the Graduate Internship Programme for 2025/2026. This is a Youth Development Programme that provides successful interns the opportunity to gain valuable practical work experience for a period of 3-24 months. 

On-the-job training will be provided in one of the following departments:

• Departent of Agriculture
• Departent of Police Oversight and Community Safety
• Departent of Cultural Affairs and Sport
• Department of the Premier
• Departent of Economic Development and Tourism
• Departent of Environmental Affairs & Development Planning
• Department of Infrastructure
• Local Government
• Mobility Department
• Provincial Treasury
• Departent of Social Development.

Requirements:

• You desire an opportunity to gain practical work experience.
• You are a South African citizen and reside in the Western Cape
• You are between the ages of 20 and 35
• You are in possession of a completed:

1. Certificate (NQF 5),
2. Or Diploma (NQF 6),
3. Or Degree (NQF 7)
4. Or Degree Post Graduate Qualification (NQF 8 and higher)
