About the Opportunity - Chemistry Internship
Sappi offers a one-year internship opportunity for recent graduates in Chemistry. This program provides hands-on, meaningful experience under the guidance of skilled mentors, helping candidates transition smoothly into the professional world.
Main Responsibilities
- Assist with laboratory and pilot plant experiments using Sappi's standard operating procedures.
- Operate bench-top and pilot scale equipment.
- Generate data and conduct basic analysis.
- Report data from experiments and field testing in written reports and presentations.
- Participate in maintenance and troubleshooting of pilot plant equipment.
Requirements
The ideal candidate must have:
- Grade 12/Matric qualification.
- Diploma (Requiring P1 and P2) or Bachelor's degree in Analytical Chemistry, Chemistry, or a related field.
- No prior experience required.
- Proficient in MS Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook and Teams).
