Salary: $1200 per month

Duration: 3 -  6 months contract

Programme Intern - Learning & Communications

Overview: The Programme Intern role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the successful implementation of the Digital Democracy Initiative (DDI). The post holder will play a key role in supporting the coordination of  strategic learning partnerships and managing communication and visibility efforts for the DDI project. Responsibilities include assisting in the coordination of strategic learning activities, including planning and organizing collaboration and learning sessions. The Programme intern is also expected to support the development, dissemination, and management of communication materials to enhance the project's visibility, as well as fostering and maintaining relationships with regional and grassroots partners to ensure effective collaboration and knowledge sharing.

Requirements: Degree in Communications, Development studies, Journalism, Social Sciences or related field.


Membership & Networks Project Intern

Overview: The Membership & Networks Project Intern will have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience across CIVICUS initiatives, including the EU-funded project "Strengthening the CIVICUS Alliance." Working within the Membership & Networks cluster, the intern will develop their skills around the essentials of project coordination and administration. This includes managing documentation, supporting cross-cluster communication, assisting with logistical tasks, and helping coordinate both virtual and in-person events. The role also provides a chance to learn about membership administration processes and gain experience managing the membership inbox, contributing to the smooth and efficient running of key project activities.

Requirements: Fluency in English is essential.

Advantageous: Proficiency in additional languages (e.g., Spanish, French, or Portuguese) is an advantage.  A diploma or bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Project Management, International Relations, Administration, or a related field is not required, however would be desirable for the role.
