Inqubeko: English Tutor

Location: Richards Bay and Esikhawini, KwaZulu-Natal

Employment Type: Part-time, fixed duration contract

Duration: 1 April 2025 – 31 October 2025 (possibility of 7 month contract renewal in 2026)

As an English Tutor, you will:

• Provide English tutoring to learners from Grade 10 - 12, focusing on grammar, vocabulary, comprehension, and writing skills.
• Design and implement lesson plans tailored to the specific needs of each group.
• Use engaging teaching methods to inspire a love for English and improve language proficiency.
• Assess and track student progress, providing feedback to parents or guardians where necessary.
• Maintain a positive and supportive learning environment.
• Compile monthly progress reports.

Requirements:

The ideal candidate will have:

• A degree in English, Education, or a related field (or equivalent teaching qualification).
• Prior experience teaching or tutoring English, preferably with secondary school learners.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• A passion for teaching and the ability to adapt teaching methods to suit individual needs.
• Fluency in English (both written and spoken).
• A valid South African ID or work permit.
• Reliable transport and flexibility to travel within Richards Bay and surrounding areas.
