Syntech: Marketing Internship (Marketing, Communications, Business Graduates)
As a Marketing Intern, you will collaborate closely with marketing team members, receiving guidance across all execution stages of marketing activities. As your skills and experience develop, you'll progressively take ownership of key responsibilities.
A Marketing Intern's typical day may be assisting with daily administrative tasks, content management, writing copy, basic image editing, product photography, managing queries, sending products for review, liaising with external stakeholders, and much more.
The Marketing Intern role is almost exclusively hands-on and execution based. It'll help provide you with a wide range of foundational skills and experiences in marketing, as well as help you identify the area of marketing you're most interested in. You will be responsible for tracking campaign performance, reviewing data, & optimising processes to achieve the best results.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Assist marketing team members with campaigns, projects, events, activities, & activations.
- Assist with maintaining and updating digital platforms, content management systems, & social media content.
- Assist with the development & distribution of physical marketing materials.
- Research target audiences, competitors, & market trends.
- Distribute products and marketing collateral to customers, consumers, & 3rd party partners.
- Assist with the coordination & execution of marketing-related events.
- Assist with basic product photography.
- Support the marketing team in daily administrative tasks.
- Assist with collating quantitative and qualitative data from marketing campaigns.
- Assist with creating basic reports, proposals, & presentations.
Requirements:
- Studying towards (or recently completed) a course, diploma, degree, or similar in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field.
- Strong desire to learn along with professional drive.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to translate complex research, results, & ideas into easy-to-understand language.
- Great organisation and time management skills.
- Proficient with Microsoft 365.
- Aptitude with social media platforms.
- Familiarity with marketing software and online applications preferred, but not required (e.g., MailChimp, Google Analytics 4, ChatGPT, Make.com, Monday.com, or similar).
