Overberg Water Board: Graduate Internship Programme 2025

 

Overberg Water is a water board established in accordance with section 28 of Water Services Act, Act No 108 of 1997 and is classified as Government Business Enterprise as per Schedule 3B entity in terms of the Public Finance Management Act, Act No. 1 of 1999 as amended.

 

The entity is seeking to employ Graduates for their 2025 Internship Programme. Only South African Citizens are eligible to apply.

 

 

The following Internship Opportunities are open for applications:

 

Finance Graduate / Intern

Requirements: Degree or Diploma in: Accounting / Finance or equivalent tertiary qualification in the field of Accounting or Finance, NQF 7 equivalent. 

Duties: Graduates will be working in the Finance Department. The main focus will be the Purchasing and Payables cycle, Revenue and Receivables cycle, Asset Management, Cashbook and Inventories


SCM / Supply Chain Graduate / Intern

Requirements: Degree or Diploma in Supply Chain management / Logistics 

Duties: Compilation of  bids/quotations in accordance with SCM policies and procedures and legislative framework. Administration of contracts in accordance with SCM policies and contract management framework. Maintenance of the contract register and update the status of the contracts. Preparation of necessary documentations for the briefing sessions for tenders and quotations. Processing purchase requisitions from the end users within the stipulated timeframes. Creation of purchase orders for goods and services. Filing of SCM documentations and ensuring the security, accessibility, and easy retrieval of documents when they are required. Publishing of bid received and awarded on National Treasury E Tender Portal and OWB website. Advertisement of tender on National Treasury E Tender Portal, OWB website and CIDB(if applicable).


Human Resource Graduate / Intern

Requirements: Degree or Diploma in Human Resource Management / Public Management / Industrial Psychology

Duties: Graduates will be working in the Human Resource Department. The main focus will be assisting with Recruitment and Selection, Performance Management, Learning and Development, Payroll, Labour Relations and Benefits.


Performance Information Graduate / Intern

Requirements: Degree or Diploma in Public Management / Public Administration / Public Governance

Duties: The entity is seeking to employ a Graduate to focus on Annual Reports, Strategic Plans, Quarterly Reporting and Annual Performance Plan.
