Mining Qualifications Authority (MQA): Internship Opportunities 2025 / 2026

The Mining Qualifications Authority (MQA) would like to invite qualifying individuals to apply for their Internship Programme. Unemployed individuals who have never participated in an internship programme are invited to apply. This opportunity is only available for South African Citizens. The successful intern will be appointed for a period of twenty-four (24) months.

Duration: 2 year programme

Monthly Stipend: R9, 306.18 pm

The following Internship Opportunities are open for applications:

Internship: Learning Programmes Operations

National Diploma / Degree (NQF Level 6/7) preferably in:

• Human Resources Development/Management,
• Public Administration/Management
• Training

Internship: Strategic Planning

• Bachelor’s Degree preferably in: 

1. Human Resources Management
2. Human Resources Development
3. Administration
4. Public Governance / Administration
5. Public Management.

• Advantageous: Honours Degree or Postgraduate degree in the Human Resources Management/ Development /Administration/ Public Governance/ Administration/Management at NQF 8 will be an added advantage.

Internship: Stakeholder Relations

• A National Diploma (NQF 6) preferably in:

1. Human Resources Development
2. Human Resources Management
3. Business Administration
4. Social Science
5. Public Relations
6. Communication
7. or equivalent.

• A Bachelor’s degree (NQF 7) in the above-mentioned field or equivalent will be an added advantage.

Internship: Risk and Compliance

Postgraduate Diploma / Honours Degree or equivalent at NQF level 8 in:

• Risk Management,
• Auditing,
• Accounting,
• Business Management/Administration,
• Public Management
• Commerce

Internship: Office of the CEO

• A bachelor’s Degree / Hounors (NQF Level 7/8) in: Business Administration, Management, or related field or an equivalent qualification
• Advantageous: A master’s degree in Business Administration, Management, or related field or an equivalent NQF Level 9 qualification in above-mentioned fields will be an added advantage.

Internship: Monitoring and Evaluation

Postgraduate Diploma / Honours Degree (NQF level 8) preferred in:

• Monitoring & Evaluation,
• Auditing,
• Accounting,
• Business Management/Administration,
• Public Management
• Commerce

Internship: Business Analytics

Honours or Master’s Degree in one of the following:

• Knowledge Management
• Information Systems / Informatics
• Records or Library and Information Science
• Digital Media or Communication
• Data Analytics / Business Intelligence
• or related disciplines

Internship: Facilities and Office Management

National Diploma or Degree(NQF 6/7) in;

• Facilities Management,
• Office Management,
• Business Administration,
