The successful candidates will be required to enter into a fixed contract for the period of 12 months. Successful candidates should be prepared to relocate anywhere across the KZN Province.

Duties: Help prepare notices of misconduct, suspension letters and hearing invitations in line with the DHET Disciplinary Code and PSCBC resolutions. Support the Labour Relations Officer in coordinating disciplinary and grievance hearings with campus management. Attend hearings to take notes and observe procedures for learning Capture and maintain a Labour Relations Register for all disciplinary, grievance, and appeal cases. File all case documentation in a secure and confidential manner (manual and electronic). Track case progress and follow up on outcomes with campuses and HR. Assist in compiling evidence bundles and investigation reports. Draft case summaries for review by the Labour Relations Officer. Assist in updating internal labour relations guidelines. Provide employees with basic guidance on grievance procedures, code of conduct, and disciplinary rules. Help prepare awareness/training material on labour relations matters for campuses. Compile monthly and quarterly labour relations statistics for submission to DHET. Track trends (e.g., absenteeism cases, misconduct types) to identify common issues. Assist in drafting reports and recommendations to management. Help schedule mediation or intervention meetings with campuses experiencing conflict. Take minutes and support facilitation during conflict resolution sessions. Research updates to public sector labour legislation, PSCBC/ELRC resolutions and court cases. Work with Centre Managers to ensure correct application of labour processes.
