Reporting to: Head of Business Development

Job Purpose

To develop, manage and sustain profitable relationships in keeping with the highest international standards with strategic principals and suppliers in order to ensure that Adcock Ingram is seen as the multinational partner of choice in South Africa. To develop an innovation pipeline for Critical Care products that will drive sustainable profitable growth and market share improvement.

Required Learning

• BCom qualification
• Business Management and/or Marketing qualification
• 1-2 years experience in New Business Development

Key Job Output

• Monitor developments in Pharmaceutical Industry;
• Advise Marketing and New Business Head of attractive Principals and products;
• Analyse feasibility of pipeline products with South African market;
• Develop and present business plans of a high standard for Principals to see Adcock Ingram Critical Care as the partner of choice for new products;
• Develop base business in line with minimum expectation of Principal Business Partner;
• Liaise with Principal Business Partners and build relationships to retain secured Principal Business Partner;
• Participate in brand planning process around principal brands;
• Negotiate with Principal Business Partner for improved Cost of Goods in consultation with Brand Managers;
