City of Tshwane Municipality: Internship Programme 2024

Position Title:  Municipal Finance Management Interns

Duration: 36 Months contract

The Municipal Finance Management Internship Programme is a structured professional training and work experience programme with the goal of providing high-quality training and practical exposure in all aspects of a municipal budget and treasury office.

The programme has a logical training sequence that builds on the skills and competencies acquired at university. 

Requirements:

• Must have completed a 3 year Bachelor’s Degree or National Diploma with majors in:

1. Accounting,
2. Economics,
3. Finance,
4. Risk Management
5. Auditing

• Must be a resident of the Tshwane area (proof of residence will be required)
• Must be between the ages of 21 and 35 years

NB. Interns will be contracted for the indicated period through a formal City of Tshwane contract. The intern will sign both an employment contract and an internship agreement.

The purpose of the agreement is to ensure commitment to the programme which requires, among others, full participation in the educational and workplace assignments and observance of policies and procedures of the City of Tshwane.
