In an effort to widen the pool of people who qualify for future employment in the emergency services sector the Gauteng Department of Health's (GDoH) Gauteng Emergency Medical Services (EMS) has issued a call for qualifying
individuals to apply for a 12 month emergency care Internship Programme.
There are a total of 1,120 opportunities available within five health districts (Johannesburg, Tshwane, Ekurhuleni, Sedibeng and West Rand), providing ample opportunities for aspiring young professionals to contribute to emergency care services.
The Internship programme offers valuable training and experience, enabling participants to make a meaningful impact on the lives of those in need of emergency services.

NB. There will be a helpdesk assistance at various locations. Applicants residing in the various districts are encouraged to visit the designated helpdesk locations on the specified dates to receive assistance with their applications. The dedicated staff onsite will be available to provide guidance, answer questions, and ensure a smooth application process.
The helpdesk will operate for a day from 08:00 to 15:00 in the various districts as follows:
