Buckman: YES Internship Programme 2024

Buckman is inviting applications for the Youth Employment Service’s (YES) Graduate Programme. All successful applicants will be placed at Buckman for a fixed term period of one (1) year beginning 1st June 2024 and ending on 31st May 2025.     

The following Internship Opportunities are open for applications:

YES Graduate – Finance Clerk

• National Diploma / Degree in: BCom Accounting

YES Graduate – Supply Chain

Diploma or Degree in:

• Finance
• Supply Chain
• Commerce

YES Graduate – IT Technician

• Diploma or Degree in: Computer Science or equivalent.
• Advantageous: A+ certification, any prior experience in an IT support role would be beneficial.

YES Graduate – Chemical Technical Assistant

Diploma or Degree in:

• BSc Chemistry
• BSc Microbiology
• Chemical Engineering

YES Graduate – Chemical Technical Assistant (Water Treatment)

Diploma or Degree in:

• BSc Chemistry
• Analytical Chemistry
• Chemical Engineering
• Microbiology

YES Graduate – Inventory Technician

• Grade 12 / Matric with maths

YES Graduate – Materials Prep/Process Technician

• Grade 12/Matric with Maths and Science and Chemical Operations Level 3 or 4
• Advantageous:Diploma in Chemical Engineering / Forklift licence

YES Graduate – Mechanical Engineer

• Diploma or BTech in Mechanical Engineering

Diploma or Degree in:

• Analytical Chemistry
• BSc Chemistry

YES Graduate – Microbiologist

YES Graduate – SHERQ Assistant

Diploma or Degree in:

• Safety/Environmental Health     
• Environmental Studies

In order to qualify to be considered for participation in the programme, applicants must:   

• Be unemployed and willing to start the programme on 1st June 2024
• Be willing to work shifts / and or overtime,
• Ensure high standards of safety and quality are adhered to,
• Have a record of good behaviour and a positive attitude,
